NEWS RELEASE FROM THE BOARD OF EDUCATION
AUGUST 13, 2018 BUDGET HEARING AND REGULAR MEETING
FOR THE SKYLINE STAFF AND PATRONS

The Skyline Board of Education held their Budget Hearing and met in regular session Monday, August 13, 2018. Routine business included approval of minutes, payment of bills, Treasurer’s Report, and the SCKSEC minutes.

Becca Flowers gave the Superintendent’s report. Her report included:  FY18 Audit, 2019 Budget, preliminary enrollment report, KESA/Redesign update and miscellaneous information.  Principals Diane House and Herb McPherson also gave updates on their building activity.

Old Business included:  approval of the purchase of a new passenger vehicle, roof repairs and replacement of the west bleachers in the big gym.

The Board appointed Rex Robinson as the Governmental Relations Network Board Representative and Allen Smith as the Skyline Site Council Representative.  They approved the resignations of: Cindy Dannebohm, Custodian and Mellisa Price, Bus Driver.  They also approved the following contracts:  Kim Lee, MS Asst. VBall Coach, Lori Anschutz, MS Head VBall Coach, Brad Pagenkopf, Driver’s Ed Instructor, Brian Atteberry and Maggie Patrick, Bus Drivers.

The Board also approved ES, MS and HS Handbook changes, adopted the FY19 Budget, and approved the 2018-19 Negotiated Agreement between USD#438 and the Skyline NEA.

The Board will meet next on Monday, September 10, 2018 at 7:30 p.m.
