BOARD OF EDUCATION
OCTOBER 9, 2017 REGULAR MEETING
FOR THE SKYLINE STAFF AND PATRONS

The Skyline Board of Education met in regular session Monday, October 9, 2017. Routine business included approval of minutes, payment of bills, Treasurer’s Report, PDC Reports and the SCKSEC September minutes.

The first item of business was the Superintendent’s report from Becca Flowers. Her report included the Kansas Supreme Court Decision, 2017/18 Enrollment, KSDE REDESIGN Project and KESA.

The Board approved contracts with Bonnie West, Bus Driver, Mary Robinson, Custodian, Melissa Jacobs and Karen Kumberg as Science Fair Coordinators and Brenda Piester as a Teacher’s Aid, Science Fair Coordinator, Science Olympiads Sponsor and Scholars’ Bowl Sponsor.

The Board heard a report from Dave McComb on last year’s activity of the Skyline Schools Foundation, accepted the donation of a CPR Training Kit from Jennifer Thompson, Senior Youth Market Director with the American Heart Association donated by the Wichita Board of Directors of the American Heart Association and heard a report from Diane House on ACT Scores.

Becca Flowers and Herb McPherson reported on their buildings’ activities.

The next meeting will be Monday, November 13, 2017 at 7:30 p.m.
