Body Venture Coming to Skyline Schools

Body Venture is coming to Skyline Schools! We are looking for parent and community volunteers. Please see below if you are interested.

Information from the School Nurse

Dear Skyline Parents:

With all of the illnesses still affecting our Skyline families, I would like to remind everyone of our illness policy.

We are still seeing cases of strep and influenza. If your child is complaining of a sore throat, cough, chills, fever, body aches, rash, and/or headaches please keep your child home from school, and call your family doctor for further instructions to see if your child requires evaluation in their clinic.

Please remember that your child must be fever free without the use of fever reducing medication (i.e. Tylenol or Motrin) before returning to school. If your child is prescribed antibiotic they must be taking it for 24 hours before returning to school.

If your child is vomiting or having episodes of diarrhea they must be symptom free for 24 hours before returning to school. A good rule of thumb is if they are able to keep 2 consecutive meals down in a 24 period they should be fine to return to school.

Thank you for helping to try to control the continuation of any illnesses here at Skyline. We are doing what we can to provide a clean and safe environment for all our students.

Heidi McKennon, School Nurse
